Managers Update 10/17/18 Waterfowl abundance: Duck numbers were up slightly this week, Refuge count this week showed 10,985 ducks (6,620 mallards) and 395 geese. Area Conditions Update: The 2018 waterfowl season starts this weekend and the area is in fantastic shape. The corn and other crops are all excellent and flooding has began in all three fields.

Area Condition Update: The 2018 waterfowl season is a month away and the area is being prepared. The corn and other crops are all looking excellent, much better than last year. For those who may haven’t been around the Great Lakes this summer, water conditions are as high as I have seem it in my 68 years.
